The embryo is formed by the merging of egg and sperm in fertilization. Consequently,
all the things that are essential for fertilization are also essential for embryo quality. Chinese acupuncture and herbal therapy as discussed in previous sections can enhance the quality of egg and sperm and facilitate the migration of both enabling fertilization. As a consequence of these efforts the embryo quality is enhanced and the chances of a successful pregnancy are increased.
In cases where a chance for a natural conception has not been ruled out, treatment to enhance these areas may be essential as all components of fertility are built off of the health and quality of the eggs in the early stage. In cases where assisted reproductive therapies will be used, it can still be essential for the health of the egg and sperm to be enhanced in order to create the embryo. A thorough diagnosis is required for determining this in either case.
